Creating Connection in an Age of Polycrisis

On behalf of Partnership for Awareness (PfA), we are pleased to invite you to an upcoming in-person community program:
Creating Connection in an Age of Polycrisis
An interactive program designed to offer reflection, shared understanding, and practical takeaways
📅 Tuesday, January 13, 2026
🕕 6:00–7:00 PM
📍 San Marino Community Center
1800 Huntington Drive, San Marino
This program will be co-facilitated by Huntington Middle School Wellness Counselor Peijen Chen and San Marino High School seniors Mimi Bernstein and Claire Lee. Together, they will explore how layered and intersecting stressors—often described as “polycrisis”—are impacting youth and families, and how face-to-face connection and community care can serve as powerful protective factors.
The program will explore:
  • What polycrisis is and how layered stress affects youth and families
  • Why in-person connection matters more than ever
  • Student perspectives on navigating school, mental health, social media, and an uncertain future
  • Tools and takeaways to support individual and community well-being
We hope you’ll join us for this thoughtful conversation and help share it with your networks.
