Hi everyone! I’m Mr. Peñafuerte — welcome!

This is my 13th year at SMHS and my 14th year teaching overall. Before joining the Titan family, I spent a year teaching at St. Francis High School.

I currently teach AP Statistics and Honors Algebra 2, and I’m proud to co-coach our school’s Math Team — the current league champions!

I was born and raised in Duarte, CA, and graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Statistics (Go Aztecs!).

I enjoy guiding students to think logically through problems and gain confidence in their problem-solving abilities.
