Instrumental Music Director

Bill Lommel is the Band and Orchestra Director at San Marino High School in Los Angeles, California, where he teaches the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Orchestra, AP Music Theory, Jazz Band, and Marching Band. 

Bill received a Master’s of Music in Music Education (2024) at Bowling Green State University with supplemental study in Band Conducting and served as a Graduate Conductor for the BGSU Symphonic Band and Concert Band, an Assistant Director of the BGSU Falcon Marching Band, and a Director of the Pep Bands.

Bill resides in Los Angeles, but is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, having received his Bachelor's of Music in Music Education from Northern Kentucky University and taught Middle School Band at the Guardian Angels School for two years (2020-2022). He was also the director of bands at Union County High School and Middle School in Indiana (2024-2025). Outside of music, he loves to go on hikes, dabble in art and reading, and travel to places such as Iceland and South Korea.
