Review the list of topics students used for a written discussion in class. Choose one and create a piece of writing that not only reflects your views on the topic, but also reflects your voice as a writer. We have spent time in class learning the "proper" structure of essays, and we have spent time in class delving into  recommendations by other authors about what writing should look like. What do you think? How does your personal writing style compare? Consider both diction and syntax in your response. Feel free to break the rules previously set forth by the Composition Handbook. This is a practice writing assignment for you to explore ways to find your voice as a writer. You will earn credit for your effort, and I will make voice related comments to aid in your development.
