Computer Graphics & Screen Printing (Summer)
Course Description
This four-hour, project-oriented course introduces 9-12 graders to the fundamentals of computer graphics and screen printing. Students will expand their technological literacy and acquire foundation skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, two powerful programs that are the industry standard for digital design. Each project will also expose students to two-dimensional design principles which will prepare them for more advanced art and design classes. For the printing aspect of the class, students will prepare designs using the computer then make them using a variety of hands-on printing processes. Students will utilize the newly-created screen printing facility at SMHS to print their own t-shirt designs! No prerequisites are required. UC Approved Course
