Use attached scoring guidelines when you are finished with problems 1-3. Corrected work is due at the start of the class period Wednesday if you did not hand it in already.
They are AB problems, but problem #1 is the same on the AB and BC exams (hence the mix-up). The duplicate problems on the 2003 exam were #1, #4 and #5 (same on AB and BC). We will do BC problems 4-6 in class tomorrow.

21 POINTS (raises your overall quarter grade approximately 4%)

EC assignment -- please take this as a timed exam as you would the actual AP, stopping on each section when your time is up. You will then score the exam according to the guidelines. You will turn in the cover page only, but must have your backup work with you as I may ask to see it.

The packet you were working on in class Wednesday is attached. You will have more time to work on it in class after the "Technology Test" Friday.

I went over what will be covered on both of these tests in class on Friday; if you missed class, please see me or find out from a friend.

Two free response polar problems due Wednesday, beginning of the period. I will check for completed homework, then display solutions and you will correct.

Write your calculator problem on your index card as assigned -- problem on one side, answer on the other -- include your name for homework credit

I will be collecting the Taylor Series AP problems from 1990-1994 that were done in class Thursday/Friday. If you did not fully solve out the problems in a neat and orderly fashion (pretending you are taking the AP test) then please do them again (you may need to use notebook paper to have enough room). This is important and you will be graded based on how well you have shown your work.

The remainder of Chapter 10 homework/other assigned problems will be collected Thursday, the day of the test. There will be more AP problems coming next week.

Don't forget we will be starting our speed tests soon -- know those basics!

Go through your notes and/or the book again. Maclaurin is 10.7.2 on page 678. Taylor (when we are not at x=0) is 10.7.3, p. 679.

Do problems 10.7 1 & 3. These ask for quadratic approximations, so you are only going to the x^2 term, but you will have to use either Maclaurin or Taylor, depending on where you are approximating.

We will do more problems on the board tomorrow.
