Concert Choir
Concert Choir is the large auditioned mixed choir at San Marino High School. Concert Choir meets during zero period and is designed to give intermediate and advanced choral students the opportunity to sing in a large ensemble. All choirs at SMHS perform three annual choral concerts (Winter, Spring & Pops) and two Coffee Houses (October & February). Additionally, Concert Choir participates in 1 college choral invitational each fall, an adjudicated choral and sight-singing festival each spring. Concert Choir regularly receives unanimous superior ratings at festivals and performs demanding choral literature from many cultures and traditions. Concert Choir members also attend a weekend mountain retreat in the fall and travel (domestic in even years, international in odd years) during spring break. In recent years, the San Marino Choirs have traveled to: Ireland, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland. Concert Choir is open to students in grades 9-12.
