We are honored to welcome back Dr. Timothy Fong, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA and Co-Director of the UCLA Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship. Dr. Fong’s talk on gaming and gambling during last year’s Red Ribbon Week was among our most popular events, and we are thrilled to have him return to share his expertise on cannabis—another rapidly evolving topic for families and educators.

Dr. Fong will discuss:

How cannabis use affects the developing adolescent brain
The latest research on edibles, vaping, and high-potency products
What parents should know if they or others in the household use cannabis
Practical guidance for keeping communication open and kids safe

With laws and social norms around cannabis changing so quickly, this is a timely and essential conversation for our community.
