Assignment
Our end of year project is for each of you to (try your best to) make a scarf for donation to Operation Gratitude. Here is a link to their request for scarves and hats:
And here is the link to all of the patterns:
But for beginners, we will just cast on 20 stitches (see videos) and knit every row until the scarf measures between 48 and 50 inches in length. It is what they call:
The Basic Garter Stitch Pattern
Cast on 20 stitches.
Row 1: K1 (knit all stitches across row)
Repeat row one until you reach your desired length.
Bind Off.
Cast on 20 stitches.
Row 1: K1 (knit all stitches across row)
Repeat row one until you reach your desired length.
Bind Off.
Here is a YouTube video that will show you how to cast on stitches and knit. Casting on starts at about 1:15 and the simple knit stitch at 3:45.
And here is a short video on how to bind off/finish your scarf:
I can also try to help via Google Meets.
Due:
Assignment
See you all at 8:30 in our Google Meet. Lot's of knitting progress should have happened by now.
After dismissal, we can talk more about Polar Area and also Vector Valued derivatives.
Due:
Class
See you all at 8:30 in our Google Meet. You can update me on your knitting progress and ask any questions you have.
After dismissal, I will review the Polar Area notes that I handed out on the last Friday of Q3 for anyone who wants to stay.
I am sadly still missing five college cards... what's up with that?
Due:
Class
See you all at 8:30 in our Google Meet.
Can't wait to hear how you felt about the AP test, talk about scarves and, if you want, a plan for polar areas and vector-valued derivatives.

AP Calculus BC Test Today!!!!!!
11:00 AM
Due:
Assignment
Have this packet completed and ready to score in class on Monday, May 4. It is a long one, so don't put it off.
(You should skip 99, 100, and 102.)
Due:
2019 FRQ
Please have these completed for class Monday, May 4. I will "Meet" you at 8:30 (meet code in Google Classroom). Question #2 is on polar -- you may skip this one. Question #6 is the series question, and you should be able to do the whole thing but the last part will not be on the AP.
Due:
Assignment
COLLEGE (OR NEXT YEAR) CARDS!
We are still making them this year. I'd be so sad not to have you all as part of my "wall" in the classroom. They are typically 4.25" x 5.5" in size (either orientation is fine).
Feel free to pick up card stock from my porch or use your own supplies.
Due:
2018 FRQ
Please have these completed for class Wednesday, April 29. I will "Meet" you at 8:30 (meet code in Google Classroom). Question #5 is on polar -- you can skip part a because it is area, but you might give b and c a try (although not tested this year). Question #6 is the series question, and you should be able to do the whole thing but only part of it can show up on the AP.
Due:
Assignment
Please have these completed for class Monday, April 27. I will "Meet" you at 8:30 (meet code in Google Classroom). Question #2 is on polar areas, so you can skip that one.
You should also have you past MC packet corrections done by class on Monday.
Due:
Assignment
Please have these completed for class Wednesday, April 22. I will "Meet" you at 8:30 (meet code in Google Classroom).
(Although you have learned all of this material, a good portion of the last question will not be on the AP test.)
Due:
Assignment
Please work on the attached 55 question differential equation packet. You can skip #17, I'm not convinced there is a correct answer among the choices.
Due:
Assignment
Please have these completed for class Monday, April 20. I will "Meet" you at 8:30 (meet code in Google Classroom). We'll correct the Differential Equation MC first and then this problem set.
Due:
Assignment
Please have these completed for class Wednesday, April 15. I will "Meet" you at 8:30 (meet code in Google Classroom).
Due:
Assignment
Please have this done when we get back from spring break. You should practice showing your work clearly for these problems where possible, as there are no multiple choice questions on this year's AP test, just "free response" type problems (where you will be required to show work and provide explanations).
*NOTE: As far as I can tell, a correct answer for #56 is not listed. Please come up with your own answer for that one and we can discuss as a class.
Due:
Assignment
Please have these completed for class Monday, April 13. I will "Meet" you at 8:30 (meet code in Google Classroom).
Due:
Assignment
Please have these completed for class Wednesday, April 1. I will "Meet" you at 8:30.
Due:
Assignment
Please have this packet completed and submitted before class on Monday. I will then provide answers so you can check your work.
Looking forward to "seeing" you online at 8:30 AM.
