did I do all right we are recording okay good afternoon everyone thank you for being today's dr. Jeff Wilson from Command Center my office and we're so happy you're here today so we just thought what I'm trying to do is get out to eat tomorrow for schools and just really have some great time with parents and commit numbers and we're going to do a real short presentation and then we'll have an opportunity for you to load questions into the chat box and I'll have mr. kurtenbach moderate that at some point and we have a hard stop at 1 get into it now so go ahead and I will welcome everyone really excited to have you here today and it's another opportunity for us to are responses to new guidelines in and our plans and potentially bring some students back onto campus and we're excited to to Taco bout that are ground rules are please make sure that you are muted unless you are called upon to speak or we do open that up to you I do have the power to mute all and will use it without fear so please make sure that you can have your video on or off we're going to keep our eyes on so that you can see our beautiful faces because this is our best way of being socially interactive I'm working to do some quick reports today from some of our amazing people over here at the high school or going to meet with and hear from our new Wellness Center coordinator Tanya out and he's got some exciting stuff there I'll talk very generally just about what's going on with our virtual environment are distance learning mr. Will come in and discuss with you some of our reopening plans and terms of bringing students back for athletics and then dr. Wilson will give us further updates just district-wide about covid-19 and our plans to move if you do have any questions throughout this time please feel free to put them in the chat which I will be checking on and moderating and I will be able to dish out those questions to the appropriate people when we get to the Q&A session so let's start first with our Titan Wellness Center school-based mental health supports and Miss lnd if you are on the line feel free to unmute yourself alright thank you so much as introduce time Tania head I'm a new member of the Titan team and I am leading up the Titan Wellness Center so we're very excited looking at the different ways that were really advancing school-based mental health support and how we can address the needs of students I really appreciate opportunity to connect with any parents I'm welcome I'm open for conversation for questions anything that I could have helped us with children or your adolescence I'm definitely here for that so I appreciate this opportunity today know if you can advance to the next until we know is we have a lot of students so we need many individuals to help address those various needs so this year we do we're very fortunate we have a team we have some Inu University Partners which I've included their Cal State Dominguez Hills Cal State LA campus Oaks and that list is just going to keep growing we're really interested in having some really good a quality of University Partnerships so we can bring in some of the folks that I have listed there we have MSW interns which is a master's degree in social those interns are doing big picture macro projects or they're providing individual Mental Health Services to students and then currently we have two Bachelors in Social Work students who can provide all kinds of supports the students and so right they're doing some direct service at the high school but we're really looking at how do we multiply those Services across the district and address all of the schools and so we're really looking forward to Growing. Entering capacity to be able to meet the Chris needs of students at all of the levels the other person who would also then be focused on delivering school-based mental health services to our students when it's appropriate then go to the next please so we're looking at what kind of services can we provide out of the wellness center and what do we want that to look like until we're really shifting to include a strong mental health service component and so we want to have this role referral system or we can identify students in need and I think it's really critical about having access to a referral system is once we can capture data and we can see what's going on with her student we have the appropriate resources and that we expand have more Insurance Cassidy agency Partnerships the various things to really meet the needs of students the other thing is we want to create an Avenue for parents to reach out directly to leave how to have that Avenue because sometimes you might need to talk to someone about some different strategies or perhaps it's more interpersonal things that are going on in the home but we want to create the school as a resource so one of the things just a little bit about me I was teacher a counselor and I'm a licensed clinician so sometimes it's helpful to just kind of have a dialogue to get some information of how you can address to support the needs of your student home but you don't necessarily need any ongoing Therapy Services for your student or your family so what we want to do is who want to be able link students and we have a wonderful partner and Care Solace where we can connect families to help find a private practice practitioner or a therapist that works with the families insurance or some students will be late those clinical and trends that I mentioned we're also really interested in doing some school-based collaboration with those outside providers to find unique ways to help students we know that many of our families are super into into the different challenges of their students or experience especially right now during The Cove at and we know that parents are taking them to those outside providers and it would be such a benefit if we were able to communicate with them and a confidential keeping in mind the privacy of the family but how we Ted further what's happening in those therapy session at school to really support the student applying some of those skills that they're learning we're also doing some ongoing student check-ins and supporting students which is kind of problem solving perhaps all introducing different Wellness activities that they can regularly engage in so meditation is very important mindfulness there's great evidence of how beneficial it is for students and helping them kind of organized themselves and learn what kind of compartmentalize but block some things out so they could be present for the educational day we want to offer that parents support as I mentioned I love speaking and hearing from parents you are the expert on your children and adolescents and so weird as the cool really when I identify what is it that families need to provide that additional port for students to be successful and then we're also offering some weekly student workshops we're trying to create Avenues to connect with students on topics that are meaningful and AR Workshop is every Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 and this week we're going to be talking about lgbtq Youth and how do we engage them and really encourage them to feel confident comfortable within our school setting I'm so we won freebies different Avenues and resources to connect with students the next so is I had shared a little bit that clinical and Turn Services is really a direction that we want to go and and all of my years of experience I seem to be such a great benefit to a school site to have that additional support so some benefits years we really recognizes convenient for the family sometimes it's very difficult but at the end of the day to you know put child in the car and go clear across town connect with the therapist and wait for the appointment until we have these resources available on campus it's very convenient for the family because it's within the school day and it's manageable and then there's also that access to more information about client that's so critical so that way we can see when we're engaging in therapy services who want to be able to see the benefit and how the student is blossoming or how they're dealing with a different challenges and in a school setting the biggest indicator we can see is that engagement in the classroom and prove academic success attendance all of those factors and so then it's something that we can really concretely look at and say are the what word providing the soon is it being helpful what could we do differently to better engage the student there's also that element of continuity of care so we are always here so the school is open we're open to and then that's really convenient for families because if we're going to be consistent and so awesome time students just need the kind of there one person who can I put them on a regular basis that they know they can reach out when they need support and then we really want to have that collaboration piece so as we look at school-based Mental Health Services in all that we're trying to develop in San Marino what we really focus on is how critical it is for students to have such a positive experience when it comes to their mental health and to really have real conversations so that way when they go off to University and they're dealing with immense pressures and struggles or if they go into adulthood that they go you know what I had to go to France once when I reached out for help and that they would utilize out of the resource for them moving forward so old Summit Lee really want to instill the value of understanding our mental health is a part of our health and it is just on a Continuum and we want students to have a pod experience here so not only Built right in high school but then they'll also take that with them as they move into the community as adults wonderful thank you so much Tanya and again if you have questions or Tanya or anyone who presents please and we'll make sure that when we get to the end of our presentation next we're going to ask for mr. unmute and we're going to talk a little bit about our return to Athletics and Mr kurtenbach before David jumps and I know mr. Handy has a I think a hard stop at 12:30 she's meeting with students so if we want to Lefteris Lennox if there's any questions in the chat for wellness at that point I was thinking tomorrow I'm good I'm good mr. Could you give us a server update similar to what we were reviewing with the Board of Education this Tuesday regarding our potential turn return of some of our student-athletes so I'm hoping for on Monday to start play football and girls volleyball maybe a little ambitious do we still have some logistic paperwork we're still collecting for our student-athletes our parents but our hope is that we would start on Monday at the idea is we'll have a gradual return where will start with two sports will have football and girls volleyball and then we'll bring back the basketball so and the cross country folks and then I will bring back the following week the Honest Kids and the soccer kids it's a gradual return days when Athletics is mainly conditioning and some individual development you can do some passing your between play two players but it's not for group passing it's just two players in a basketball to each other and it's auditioning at it's a chance for the kids to reconnect with each other in a socially distance matter so there are definite protocols and rules of all the kids all have to wear masks are a screen process. got to go to in order to all work out with us so those are kind of made things there are three things that all kids have to do before they get to us to staff to get athletically cleared which means you have to get a physical is a waiver that we're having two parents die add the third thing is excussion Baseline testing where I stand all our kids to do those are three things and then when they get on campus the required to get a screening required if a student spinner and we'll have some navigate to temperature to make sure that they are clear to go get enough but we also have a coordinator escamilla is our our job is it in case there is a if there a issues she's the point person that people will go to so yeah if someone is displaying symptoms of Kobe or she would be the one that parents and students would go to she would not go to the procedures and protocol and if there is a need to contact race she would be the one that would contact her a big part of the phase one is cold or so there is a athlete is put into a cohort of my maximum athletes and their side when coach and so again this is all goes back to the whole idea of contact tracing your son or daughter is limited to nine other athletes and a coach and that's the cohort that they will be working out until we move to the other stages of the football how many kids they have they will have 3 4 5 6 5 chord like I said each cohorted we'll have a coach that they will be working out with I think those are the main parts of it really excited to have the kids come back we will be following all the guidelines that have been set by the LA County also CIF State SNL Star Line and a group called The National Federation of high school is also set to stylize OU coaches our coaches as well are required to get trained everyday I'm in addition there signing a waiver and they are taking us nfhs class on covid-19 so they're aware of covid-19 and how they're supposed to be with our students react. supermarkets back for Phase 1 I want to add to that that a limiting factor in all of this is the number of coaches that we have available or having a coach available obviously we need to have are employees as the coaches so where I've been offered volunteer coaches to expand on the number of students who can come by as not an option for us at this time so if a team has let's say for example the football team is close to 60 kids but if we only had four coaches that means we can only Bring Back 40 students on the way that we're prioritizing this is we are starting with a survey parents that we need to see which students are able to come back and then we go to seniors on varsity and we kind of worked our way down through that process based on coaches need and and their decision though I think David's right we're definitely well poised to take the saint or coaches have been preparing for this really since the beginning of the year because we receive similar guidelines and no understanding that this was going to be a possibility down the line so we're very ready once again now please if you have any questions I put them into the chat and when we get to the end of our presentation we're going to address all the question we're able to before we go one we still have outside athletic groups on our camp that's still prohibited so if you're hearing about AYSO or other leagues in other towns at Salt City facilities or County Parks schools are not hosting that are not supposed to be hosting are you able to update the presentation I move a couple slides around or I can just share my screen I can just give me one second great to see you I do want at Wild it's doing that introduce super thrilled dr. Linda Richter is I could see she's on here so that when you speak maybe a pop up but dr. Richter is our new executive director pritam instruction original services and she comes to us with a great background she's been in Glendale Unified for quite a while she served as an elementary principal as well as a high school assistant principal very unusual to find someone like that Last 5 Years working in their Educational Services Division our categorical programs and interventions has done a fabulous job so we're thrilled to have line on board she's hit the ground running I know she's meeting with all the principles and really beginning to work on artificial mission forward Selena good to have you thank you thank you for the warm welcome you cut out a little bit I think my my connection thank you again for the warm welcome and good afternoon. Michael Community I'm excited to be here and part of this amazing School District it's an honor to work with all of the administrators here in San Marino unified and I'm looking forward to working with administration at San Marino High School and continuing when's the great work that's been in place for many many years and I hope that I will be able to work collaboratively with many of you in person one day and continue to strengthen our instructional programming best prepare students for college career in for life so thank you for the warm welcome Elsa the Doctor's Choice join the light as well and so you know I don't want it there so much I'm sure you guys are hearing on the news or probably following everything on the County website such but I was on with dr. Ferrer this Morgan dr. Gill check from the county we were hopeful that LA County would move into the first 14 days this week what happens if the state gets the metrics on Monday and then they released their findings on the next date Tuesday so we used to get the information my Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning but LA county is not moving yet we have not move so that means that our numbers are still above the 7 per 100,000 Mark moving forward and that's that means the clock is not start a ticket on the trace of calendars here in a minute but essentially what you need to keep in mind as you listen to the news is when LA County starts its first 14 days it means that we get the daily case Ray down to below 7% and that the numbers of cases countywide or soutar below 7 to 100000 I think read about 7.4 something like that right now so what's up is this that when we move into a a cut of it I called a Purgatory between tier-1 and tier-2 we have to go for 14 days of uninterrupted good metrics before we can officially move to the next year the way it's working with education is not opening schools in mass is once we start that first 14 days and get through that then we technically move into tier 2 which is the red cheer we have to sit there for another 14 days for us to actually be qualified as accounting to reopen in Mass at what dr. Ferrer has said is essentially it's a passing of the Baton at that point from the state to the local County Department of Public Health and they have the eye putting out a reopening plan or they could enact more restrictive measures more than likely what they've been indicating is once we clear the 28 days that they'll be a. Of somewhere between one to two weeks for the the county actually goes out what they're going to be doing what they're called listening doors to find out what school districts and cities are doing to prepare for the opening and then I'll consider a reopening an and then they're talking about a graduated reopening from the youngers up to the older students so what I thought I do is pop up a couple of potential calendar calendars here just to kind of give you an idea this is I had a scenario one but we've already invalidated search scenario by not reaching the target this week but here's that neither best-case scenarios if the county were given word by the state next Monday or Tuesday that we enter the first 14 days I'm going to share my screen so you guys can see good stuff here I just realized Jason sharing Jason are you able to disable my screen sharing you can now screenshot let's do that and okay here we go all right so theoretically if we were to get word as a county next Monday or Tuesday that we were in the first 14 days you can see the first 14 days would be the week 26 then we would have the inner tear to the week of the 2nd of November and would complete that 28-day piece by the 13th of November and then ladp putting in active listening tour guidance on reopening now just a caveat there that could extend beyond that week it could go to the next week which is Thanksgiving week wish ban would probably Propel it another week for because I don't think the county and do a listening to her doing during Thanksgiving week but the best-case scenario and this would be the option of opening up elementary and middle schools or maybe just elementary schools the first week in December with high school middle school probably the second week again this is what cardboard will have to decide on once we're cleared but this is best case scenario right here if if we don't meet the guidelines this week of course then I'll make us a little larger again and once again it puts us behind the eight-ball Eva further and you start to look at a first-round 14-day starting on the 26th and you can see best case scenario on this case would be high school and middle school coming back the week of finals in December which you know as I've begun walking to high school teachers and administrators seems very disruptive to re-enter school during finals week and I seem to sell any naughty her head I can anticipate a lot of issues for constituted anxiety and things like that having said that this is not anything that we've made decisions on I just thought it was important that you see a visual representation of some possibilities here in this is what we'll be talking about quite a bit with our board a couple other things on here that are adventurous and you can take back over the screen now mr. kurtenbach and put the presentation back up we hope you guys have heard a lot about a couple of things that are causing some uncertainty out there and I want to talk about that in a second but you go to the next slide I want to show you what it looks like your  and I don't think it blow that one up just a buck or not but this is Dad I just pulled off this morning they finally posted data by right now LDS needs to move San Marino right now Court of the County website has one case in our town so you go back one slide that Top Line there it just shows weeks in the 7 days daily average we only have one case go to the graph next to Azusa next I want to show you a contrast deer a town just a I think it's 8 miles away from us has 10 cases right now at a high case rate this is represented about the unevenness of work o videos right now I really I mean it's pretty simple to figure out where you find high-density housing you find greater numbers of cases and then go to the next side which is Georgia quick graph of how things of God this is right off the couch website we're at a real low right now in this whole process and San Marino and this is essentially this is what everybody's graph looks like it's just our cases are so far fewer than most cities around us or doing really well as a town and so one of my questions I had for dr. Ferrara Leon was why can't we be considered as a pocket or why can't we look at you know what would the San San Gabriel South Pasadena Temple City Arcadia San Marino area look like when you compare it to other areas accounting the state will not let us do that in fact you've heard some Talk of the equity measure Equity measure is to ensure that the county is addressing the height I said he needs with a high cases in a specialized way so we have to be considered as an entire County we can't open as a pod within the county the waiver as far as the elementary waiver I'm like this really quick it's only 40 to the waiver application process is opened very few public schools have applied for the waiver right now because of a stipulation that requires the approval of the bargaining units within those school districts I am proud tell you that this morning our bargaining unit entered into a signed mou with our district and we are the first school district in LA county to achieve that that that's phenomenal I got to tell you to my colleagues are struggling right now they're not able to get any sort of permissions from their bargaining units to even consider a t k to waiver I want you to know that our bargaining unit came to work with us and this is delatorre beautiful call job and we have the first signed mou in the county to do this which is phenomenal. What does that mean we are going to submit a waiver for Carver and for Valentine elementary schools but here's the problem we're facing the waiver applications are going to be considered by socioeconomic level first so if you're a low socio-economic District your applications at the top of the file we're going to continue to push forward for the so with this because we do believe that the best place for kids to learn is in school but having said that we're going to be very very careful and how we do that we're not going to rush in and I'll pause it for a second I know. your choice on the line Dr Troy is there anything you want to add to that discussion right now from the compliance team No thank you Doctor Wilson. Compliance team continues to meet every weekend just like you we get updates from doctor and our task is really to implement the safety measures and just want to make sure that for those of us are joining us that we do have a kobet compliance website in Dallas directly accessible through the District home page and I encourage all of you to visit that website we do our best to maintain and keep the information fresh there so take a look at that eye when you get a chance and then my last comment do I get some food and here is one thing dr. Gill check who's his he's second-in-command at LA County Department of Public Health said this morning he said and and this gave Jason and I had a he said you know it's going to it's you said it's very flawed to think LA County High School students will be allowed to attend different classes throughout the day that was a direct what I wrote down from him and he said he's encouraging us in schools to think very creatively about how we Weber high school because their concern is that as students move from class to class in in and out of classrooms with different kids that they would predict a massive spread of Koba. Might be an overstatement again that's just direct quote I'm not I'm not editorializing there and so the challenge is for us to think about what high school would need to look like it from a different place than what it looked like before last March so that's a struggle and we're just we're just starting that conversation and I think that's another reason why the county is looking at opening up for younger students first has a number of reasons for that difficulty of accessing technology and things like that but also it is going to be a greater challenge it's as simple to keep elementary kids in A&B hybrid cohorts in singular classrooms and prevent any type of spread is a little more difficult with students has anyone add to that otherwise I'm done and we can open up for Q&A absolutely gave me a headache and I think I only found out about an hour ago and I keep running through scenarios I hadn't how can we make this work how do we make this work and it's it's probably going to be one of the most challenging problems we we struggle with so we're getting our best Minds on it and I I point to our new assistant principal Carlos costume clay he's one of our best Minds in terms of Master scheduling and trying to get this done so we're going to see if we can come up with a solution that ideally we can Implement as quickly as possible but I guess you can go ahead and show the calendar so you can kill the presentation if you want now once again if you have a question please type that into the chat we're going to try to address all them before we go today right now we have three questions so the fur is Burmy I put out a survey of our parents about 4 weeks ago regarding just what's going well what might be some areas we can improve on in terms of our distance learning and then I asked a very simple question would be willing to send your kids back in any capacity anytime soon given the current situation and what you know about it and or not and for the most part we got very round numbers about 30% of our parents are not ready yet to be sending their kids back to classes about 30% are in the Navy category on on the fence and about 40% are ready to send their kids back in some way shape or form so we've been using that as sort of a baseline understanding when we look at our hybrid model okay if we're bringing back 30% of our kids roughly we had about half of the maybes to that list so we're looking closer to 50% what would that look like in a typical classroom how many students would that be how many could we accommodate how would we keep them from mingling so much when we go into our passing. We need to stagger schedule things like that that was a good piece of information for us the other pieces which were open ended questions really what's going well so I think for the most part our community and our students are seeing that we have a very healthy and solid teaching learning environment going on at a distance I think they're seeing that this is definitely not like 4th quarter last year this is real school with high expectations lots of support on there seeing a lot of Grey time from our staff there appreciating the open communication in the opportunities that they have to interact with us similar to what we're doing today some things that they're struggling with our the ability to get lock the screen at any point in the day so we're working with our staff to increase their understanding that they have the ability to boot kids off screen from even though I'm on this Zoom all of you being able to stay to my students okay let's take a moment I want you to you know go to the other end of the room take a minute to read this section of this book you're in English or take your textbook in math I want you to do two problems you're going to ride them on a piece of paper and we're going to show them on the screen and we're going to work that way just to get them off screen for a moment the other piece that was a big concern was how assessing students we had a lot of people running assessments through our Friday asynchronous time and our 17 minute check-in we're doing our best to move as many of those assessments into the regular week because more advantageous for kids cuz they have more time brings their stress level down allows them to do their best so we're working with both of those pieces and then I'm constantly going back and looking at our responses to glean other positive and areas that we can grow in all the while maintaining the understanding that this is where we are and we're going to do the best that we can and the most important thing is that we continue to communicate effectively as possible the concerns as their current the next piece was for mr. When discussing return to Athletics when will cheer practices resume on campus and I think I can handle that one Mysteria cuz we've already had a quick discussion about that Archer coaches on a maternity leave right now so we do have an assistant coach volunteer who is running those virtual at a distance session we couldn't bring that person back on the covid-19 to finish the cheer team is not slated for the first three weeks of return so hopeful that maybe about mid-november will be able to do something where we can bring them back missile we have a question for you can you touch on the stigma of mental health and how we can help students and families get around that stigma I think that's a great question and that is like an ongoing. log and so to me when were addressing stigma and mental health is like tending a garden you continuously have to go back to that Garden checks for weeds water kind of see what's going on and I was kind of take the Pulse and so it's interesting cuz I dissipated in countering a lot more stigma as I reached out and connect with parents since I've been here but actually parents are pretty open and I think we're learning a lot from this covid-19 in his pen and a dyke and how we address things and I think it's really created a opportunity for some of their families to really get to know their children especially especially their adolescents we're kind of distant and so I think it's going to be an ongoing dialogue and so one of the things that we are continuing this year and I know it's been in years past is student wellness Council and we actually meet this afternoon with a student because we also need to get a lot of perspective from the kids as far as how they feel about Sigma and they are also a good gauge on their parents as far as really understanding how open their parents are to the students getting that additional support so I think in order for us to address that we got to take the temperature of kind of what's going on around us and it's interesting because we do all have our own assumptions about how other people feel about mental health but then off sometimes that's a reflection of how we feel about mental health for us and so I think it's just going to be an ongoing we have to like I said take the temperature keeps having dialogues because when we look at stigma their soul layers of her own personal stigma it's looking at the small community around us then we're looking at students were looking at stuff and then the Greater Community so I have I connected with partnership for awareness we're really focused on how do we address parents we get them to come out and we have such wonderful meeting for workshops like this afternoon at 4 there's one on growth mindset that partnership for awareness is put out and so it's really kind of thinking about how do we think about our own Mental Health to really understand that it's a Continuum and there is no Health without it what it really is just a lot of Grassroots conversations big conversations and just really creating multiple opportunities for dialog so much Tanya another question we have for sports mystery really and maybe dr. Choi as well as our code of compliance team leader there if there is a case or two 3 when we return to Athletics what would be our protocol would we have to shut down simply at the high school with there be other ramifications so if there are three cases that we matched I know that for sure so according to LA County and I was late asking me I are coca compliance officer here at our side even though it says David and just add to that but thank you later the county is also said that what would force a shutdown of an entire district is if 25% of your school's I were forced to shut down makes it releasing Sam Reina we have for school's right so in so the rules simple rule is if there's three independent cases at a site any site at forces of sight shut down if we have one site shut down before send to an organizational shut down how frustrating is that that we could have three cases that would shut down our whole District in LAUSD could have 3000 and still not shut down nothing is frustrating but I you know I do understand the county certainly Department of Health that you know I kind of went into all those updates a little cynical about them but I really see no hard that dr. Ferrer in dr. Wilson in on that and I'm not saying it's out of the realm of possibility I think there's some big positives to having a homeroom I'm just not sure that we want to take away instructional time at this point when it's alright premium weed we are having roughly two-thirds of the instructional time that we would have on a regular school year so the next question we discussed ugly issues and if there has been any improvements with City service any hope for a hotspot checked out with the district by this question was proposed earlier to the doctor choice I believe I'm going to leave go to doctor Wilson and dr. Choy to discuss so we we we definitely have been receiving a lot of inquiries and reports about outages in the city of San Marino specifically those that are subscribers to spec and in terms of his ability to what spectrum does we have the same amount of visibility as you do as residents of San Marino you know where it where it works or checking what others are sharing in the next door and then on Facebook and there isn't a whole lot of information. Spectrum shares with us but that's not to say that there isn't anything that we can not do can do in that regard we are checking out hot spots I do encourage you if you are one of those areas where you are experiencing outages of to go ahead and submit a request for a hotspot and that link is also accessible through our home page at the district website short URL is just smusd that us check out we do have more hotspot request than we do have hotspots I know we checked out well over 200 hotspots and as of yesterday I told him 250 request so when you do something at the request of my does become available we will definitely contact you so that you can come to pick up those hot spots and end I will be working with the city yet but I've been in contact with Marcelo Marlow at the city already I don't again know how much they can help us with that but we'll try another question for sports and Covington Finance officers the the three cases that would shut things down are those three occurring roughly at the same time or just three total overall reminder standing is at 3 separate at the same site so what's it what they're thinking like okay Lucy Had a single cohort of students and days so it's long as those three cases happen within that 14 days then they would be considered an outbreak and then at that point the county with direct us it with regards to surveillance testing and and she's already you know I shouldn't say my shooter p*** very much but she has constant contacts now with multiple universities and insurance she is connecting with the wellness spokes in Arcadia Temple City and so Alhambra South Pasadena I think you said so I just want you to know that everybody in this District to pull in the right direction I want you to know our bargaining units are phenomenal but Letty and Jessica and Kristen on the teacher side and what Margarita on the classified site doing with us is groundbreaking in LA county and I can't stress that enough so we're all pull but are four principles are working together all the time are two Elementary principals are sharing PTA meetings or do exactly meetings together they're talking every single day about best practices at both of our elementary Jason and Daryl I think you guys meet at least weekly if not more we are really working hard to establish Pathways of learning that are cohesive that really move our kids to our elementary schools tap into their interest and Strikes move them in the middle school but have one opportunities to pursue that and then pointing forward into our great High School where the heck they can have an opportunity to really dig deep and and go deep and what they're interested in learning their special way so that's a long way but we're on it can you have a conversation with TCC I know Jason's been working very closely with PCC there are real challenges with implementing dual enrollment in a school district like ours it doesn't mean it's not possible it just means they're significant challenges because dual enrollment did you see with a knowledge that when the president was not created really with districts like San Marino on mine but having said that I think we have some amazing opportunities ahead of us and working with PCC to develop some really neat programs for and giving them different opportunities I know that dr. Richter is already looking into our current Partnerships of Caltech in the Huntington and I we might expand those and we're looking at additional Partnerships cuz I really do think the key Russ is going to be connecting students in a learning pathway that makes meaningful connections for them and gives them tangible benefits but also connects them to those Industries are those schools where they're going to end up so internships for a part of that equation at some point down the line but we are moving forward it is our main focus of what we're doing educationally we're going to continue our Universal Design for Learning training for our teachers are multi-tiered systems of support you bring people back together if not before so that's great and the other thing I'm excited about is our Board of education's on the break of moving forward on a board policy that would provide Masters and governance training for our board that's phenomenal that's that's that's a great sign of health and so all things are pointing for books and just want to thank you for being here today thank you all have a great rest of your day and we will hopefully see you soon
