Symphonic Orchestra Auditions

String and Wind auditions are generally held the first week of November. It is expected that wind and percussion players have concurrent enrollment in Concert Band or Wind Ensemble.

Strings:

1) Demonstrate knowledge of major scales up to 4 accidentals. 1st Chair/Principal players must demonstrate 2-3 octave scales.

2) Standardized Solo (See blow)

3) Prepared Individualized Solo 1 - 2 minutes

4) Sight Reading
