Educational Background:

Mrs. Garcia graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelors Degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education. She earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education with an authorization in Severely Handicapped at Cal State Los Angeles. Mrs. Garcia is the holder of both a Multiple Subjects Credential and a Clear Specialist Instruction Authorization in Special Education (Severely Handicapped).

 

Teaching Experience:

Mrs. Garcia served as a Special Education Teacher at The Almansor Center from 1984-1989. She became their Program Director in 1989and held that position through June 30th, 2008, when she decided to return to her love of teaching.


Hobbies and Interests:

Mrs. Garcia’s hobbies and interests include reading for pleasure, music (she’s an accomplished bass clarinetest), hiking/camping, and arts and crafts.  She is currently working on learning her family’s tradition of hand quilting.  She has also had many years of  experience in the Martial Arts.  Most of her time these days is spent living life's adventures with her devoted husband and her two lovely young girls who are both in elementary school.
