SELPA SAI Teacher
Welcome New and Returning Titans!
I am Mrs. Villalobos (Mrs. V), the SELPA Specialized Academic Instruction Teacher in Room 603! We have an adventurous year ahead as we continue to learn and grow, virtually and hopefully in person. Our courses promote independence and critical thinking. Students are enrolled in courses such as: Functional Life Skills, Functional English Language Arts, Functional Math and Functional Vocational Skills I/II. Typically, we participate in Campus Activities, the SMHS Peer Mentor Program, WSGV SELPA Events, Special Olympics, and Community Based Instruction. While courses are delivered virtually we will utilize our creativity to incorporate our "normal" in person experiences in a virtual setting such as Fun Fridays, Social Skills with peers and staff, reflecting on past events, and moving forward with new ways to stay connected as a class. This will be a new journey that we will all embark together!
I look forward to another year with amazing students, staff and peer mentors.
