Titan Marching Band
The Titan Marching Band is an award-winning ensemble that has made two appearances at the SCSBOA Marching Band Championships. Performances include football games, basketball games, pep rallies, assemblies, marching band competitions, parades, and other local events.
Requirements-
Intermediate playing experience. The SMHS Titan Marching Band is open to all SMHS students who show a general competency on their instrument. The Marching Band performs at the Varsity football games, and competes in SCSBOA Field shows during the first quarter of the school year (Aug.-Nov.). Rehearsals are every school day during ‘0’ period, Thursday evenings, lunchtime/after school practice sectionals, and on Saturday/No school days as needed. Concurrent enrollment in Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band or Symphony Orchestra is required. Members of the Band can perform in the Pep Band at away football games, home basketball games, school pep rallies, Homecoming Parade, and other community events. This award-winning group has traveled to Calgary, Canada, Sydney, Australia and Orlando, Florida.
