Hi Everybody!
 
As we are wrapping up this year, we must start looking at studying for the final. After we finish Chapter 12, we will have one day at the end of the semester to review each chapter.
 
Looking back over this semester, we can see that Chapter 9 was one of the hardest chapters. Since the Chapter 9 Test had the lowest overall average, we are going to spend the day for Chapter 9 looking over and correcting the test. The test corrections you make in class, at lunch, and/or after school that day will not only help you study for the final, but I will also use those corrections to bring your Chapter 9 Test score up!
 
We have already completed one worksheet to help us Review Chapter 9, but this weekend, I'd like you to go back to your Chapter 9 Quiz and make some corrections on those problems. If you do not have your Quiz I have posted the problems (and answers) online. A blank form of the quiz is also attached. You can do your corrections on a separate lined sheet of paper, since you will be writing (see below for instructions), or you can print out a copy of the (adjusted) quiz and do the corrections on there (and another sheet if you need more room for your explanations).
 
Good Test Corrections:
  1. Restate the problem.
  2. Show all work.
  3. Explain the work that is happening (yes, in words)
  4. Explain where you went wrong the first time (more words).
  5. If you don't know/don't have your work - please explain why the work you are doing now is correct (more words).
  6. Find the correct answer.
 
I will be collecting these corrections on Monday (changed to Friday because I forgot to post the key over the weekend) to look over and give feedback on how to improve making corrections so we can study even better for the final.
 
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR QUIZ:
You must do 'corrections' for #1-9 odds, 10.
