College and Career Center
The ROP College and Career Center provides a variety of resources to help students in planning their future after high school. Resource materials are available to assist students seeking financial aid, jobs, internships, summer programs, scholarships, SAT/ACT materials, career and college exploration, as well as many other options. Students are welcome to drop by before school, after school, and during lunch. Mrs. Soltis, the Career Center/ROP Director is available Monday through Friday. Mrs. Singh, the ROP counselor is available Wednesday, Thursdays and alternating Fridays. Mrs. Estrada,the ROP Technician is available Monday, Tuesday & Friday. To contact the ROP College and Career Center please call (626) 299-7053 College/Career information is made available to all students on an continual basis. Career Magazines are distributed to all grade levels throughout the year. A library of college/career reference books and catalogs are available for student use, along with the use of CHOICES Program. The Career Center is available to students Monday through Friday from 7a.m. through 3p.m.  Students are encouraged to visit the Career Center before school, during break, & Lunch.

Lunch & Learn: Sports Careers Thursday September 23, 2010

SMHS will kick off its Lunch & Learn Career Speaker Series on Thursday Semptember 23rd from 12-1p.m. in the College & Career Center. Students can sign up in the Career Center. This event has limited seating to the first 40 students that sign up. Lunch will be provided. To find out more about our speakers go to the Lunch & Learn page.
