San Marino High School maintains a commitment to preparing students to have the knowledge, skills, integrity and character necessary to become successful and productive people. Students, staff, parents and the community work together to provide world-class programs that offer opportunities for students to compete at the highest levels in academics and in co-curricular activities in ways that help each student develop to his/her full potential.

The school board has established a vision that our schools will deliver a world-class education with recognized excellence in academics, arts and athletics. In a time where education in California faces a severe budget crisis and uncertainty, parents and the community have come together to provide the resources necessary to preserve the school's excellence in academics, arts and athletics. That being said, the key ingredient is you, the student.

San Marino students are expected to display strong character and demonstrate respect for others. To benefit from your education, you will need to commit yourself to taking full advantage of what SMHS has to offer. As an SMHS student you will be participating in one of the finest educational programs in the state. Involvement in a range of activities is necessary to help you develop the skills that will give you the best chance for success in college and career. Involvement in co-curricular activities will help you develop the interpersonal, leadership, time management, and communication skills necessary for success.
